Hamburg airport is located just 11 km from the city center, so getting to Eric Vökel is quick and easy:

  • Taxi

    An official taxi stand is found right outside the arrivals hall. The cost of fare from the airport to the city center is approximately €30–40.

  • Train

    Right below the airport terminal, there is a train station from where the S1 departs every 10 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekends and public holidays. The first train to Hamburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) departs from the airport at 4:34 a.m. and the last train at 00:14 a.m., with departures every 20 min. The journey takes 25 minutes and a single ticket costs €3.30 for adults and €1.20 for children aged 6–14 years old. Children under 6 years of age can travel free. Hamburg airport offers special services for passengers with reduced mobility, and it is possible to access train platforms by means of stairs, escalators and elevators.

    A great weekend in Hamburg

    This modern comfortable apartment in central Hamburg is well fitted out with all necessary kitchen appliances. A continental breakfast is provided daily, with fresh coffee and fruit available from the very friendly staff at the front desk. An excellent place to stay when visiting Hamburg, particularly given that it is close to the central train station and nearby restaurants.

    Perfect in every way!

    We stayed in Hamburg for two things to see the sights and to experience the magical Christmas Markets. The hotel is perfect for both! Great location, so clean and the apartments had everything you might need.... there was a small mistake on our booking and the staff were so helpful with fixing it and were very friendly. I highly recommend! I travel a lot and I will be booking into this accommodation in other cities too.
